Chauron Technology recently presented its latest Pyrofuse solutions at The Battery Show Europe, using the event to deepen technical discussions with global customers and strengthen its presence in the international new-energy market.

Building a Full-Chain Fuse and Pyrofuse Platform
Founded in April 2018, Hangzhou Chauron Technology Co., Ltd. focuses on the research, development and manufacturing of high-performance fuses and next-generation Pyrofuse products. The company has established in-house capabilities covering product development, core manufacturing processes, automated production and electrical performance testing.
Production bases in Zhejiang and Hunan support flexible automated manufacturing and application-specific development. Chauron products are designed for electric vehicles, charging infrastructure, wind and solar power, energy storage systems, data centers, electric vessels and electric two-wheelers. Readers who want a clear technical introduction can begin with what a Pyrofuse is and how it works.
Engineering Talent, Standards and Certification
Chauron founder and general manager Dr. Dai Chao serves as a member of the National Fuse Standardization Technical Committee and has participated in the development of national, industry and group standards. Technical personnel account for more than 30% of the company team, while the company holds more than 40 patents, including three PCT international patent applications.
Chauron has implemented IATF 16949, ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management systems. Its products have also obtained certifications including CCC, CE, UL and TÜV, supporting development for both automotive and industrial applications.

Pyrofuse Technology for Active Circuit Protection
A conventional passive fuse operates through the thermal effect of current. In high-voltage, high-capacity DC systems, designers must balance rapid fault interruption against the risk of nuisance operation. A Pyrofuse takes a different approach: it receives a trigger signal from a battery management system or controller and actively drives its interruption mechanism.
This distinction is explained in more detail in Chauron’s guide to the difference between a fuse and a Pyrofuse. Depending on the application and product configuration, Chauron’s Pyrofuse platform is designed for rapid response, high breaking capacity, compact installation and coordinated protection across systems from 48 V to 2,000 V.
For engineers evaluating fault-detection logic, the article on active Pyrofuse triggering versus passive protection explains how the two methods respond to abnormal conditions. For vehicle applications, Chauron’s SPF-1 Pyrofuse provides a product-level reference for active battery disconnection.

CNAS-Accredited Testing Supports Reliable Quality
In early 2025, Chauron’s testing center received CNAS laboratory accreditation after a six-month review. The center includes thermal-shock equipment, temperature-rise test systems, short-circuit current test platforms and salt-spray chambers.
Its validation scope covers overload behavior, current-pulse performance, breaking capacity, temperature rise, durability and corrosion resistance. By connecting incoming-material inspection, process control and finished-product validation, the laboratory supports traceable quality management and faster engineering verification.

Protecting the Next Generation of Energy Systems
As electric mobility, renewable generation, energy storage, charging networks and data centers continue to scale, circuit protection must keep pace with higher voltage, faster fault detection and more demanding operating conditions. Chauron is expanding its product and testing capabilities around these requirements while strengthening cooperation with global customers.
